Musee Museum
This book is the outcome of a project initiated by artist Roel Kerkhofs, produced together with graphic design studio Dear Reader, (Eva Moulaert and Marie Sledsens) and writer Tina Ameel. It began in August 2014 as a residency in a neighbourhood in Brussels; a temporary museum in a specific area, where the homes were seen as archives and the residents as museum archivists. The project is very much inspired by the âImaginary Museumâ of AndrĂ© Malraux. Filled with intriguing objects, it serves as a visual production platform where images from the private space receive renewed attention, and which aims to seek out the current value of the visible image in this context.
