Harold Ancart – Tomorrow (Rare)

Out of print
Edition of 500 copies
1 available, sealed

For his first publication, Harold Ancart presents a series of images of paradisiacal beaches in a calendar of the year 3000. Despite their digital origin, the snapshots, which the artist finds on the Internet, seem to have been yellowed by time, like old holiday pictures that have stayed out too long in the sun. Ancart reclaims those images by highlighting them with traces of fire, paint and scratches to achieve what is often more trace than form.

For those who are impatient, the calendar can be used in 2014, 2025, 2031, 2042,...

24 pages, 25 x 28 cm, softcover, Triangle Books (Brussels).
