The Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation Prize is awarded to a living artist of any nationality who has made a significant contribution, either through an exhibition or publication, to photography in Europe in the previous year. A five-part booklet introduces this year’s nominated photographers: Mathieu Asselin, Rafal Milach, Batia Suter, and Luke Willis Thompson. They offer four intelligent, distinctive perspectives on pertinent contemporary issues, yet are united through their diverse investigations into one of the most important issues of the 21st century: how knowledge is produced and disseminated.
