Anouk Kruithof - Pixel-stress

On 18 April 2013, Anouk Kruithof went to Wall Street with two assistants and built a temporary installation of 14 prints framed in different sizes on the sidewalk. They looked like pixelated monochromes, but were in fact illustrations blown up to a maximum size (3200% in Photoshop) of images found through Google, searching the word "stress". She asked pedestrians to look at the artwork and discuss with her about the monochromes, the purpose of her project, and potential interpretations. The book comprises these monochromes and documents the performance. Thanks to RVB Books (Paris).Ā
